About Us

Sivananda Home , a registered welfare organization, has been in existence since 2012 to specifically focus on orphans and underprivileged childrens . The board of Trustees includes 3 members of DLS and 3 other non-members. It will be responsible to operate a single fund known as “Sivananda Home” (SH). Donors shall be given tax exemption and all accounts shall be under the supervisions of the SH Board of Trustees.¬† Currently we have approximately 20 children’s aged from 8 – 15 years old. Vision To be a centre of excellence for the optimal development of a child. Mission, to establish and manage homes to nurture and guide orphans, children from broken homes and other disadvantaged backgrounds, in a secure environment, to place them well in society with spiritually inclined strong moral values so they may achieve their fullest potential. General Objective, to ensure a safe, healthy and caring environment, so as to develop the physical, mental, social and spiritual powers of the growing child. Intake & Counseling Objective, to ensure all application for admission into Sivananda Home are checked before the interview. To ensure that the committee members are present to conduct the interview for each application. To ensure that the interview reports and recommendations are submitted to the Sivananda Home committee for endorsement. To ensure that a recognized counsellor is appointed¬† by the committee. To ensure that upon admission into the Sivananda Home, the child will be given counseling on recommendation of the administrator / warden. Our target group if from 7 – 12 years old. Here we have volunteer teachers providing free tuition’s for all the children’s. We also send all the secondary students to outdoor tuition’s.
